Jump Rope Workout, 9/5/2012

Today, a quick cardio session.  I am already feeling sore from yesterday’s workout, but I’ve got a new fire under me this week, and I want to keep it burning.  I don’t usually feel this motivated, so I’m trying to use it!   So, to fit in this workout, I have to make it fast tonight — lots to do at home!  Aiming to keep a high heartrate, I’m adding 30 seconds of jump rope between each exercise.  I’ll repeat this circuit 2-3 times, and finish with a straight-forward ab session, courtesy of Fitnessista, who I like to pretend is my real friend.  😉

  • Around the worlds (x10)
    • Jump rope, 30 seconds
  • Squat with a back kick, alternating legs (x20)
    • Jump rope, 30 seconds
  • Crab Walk forward 10 steps, backward 10 steps
    • Jump rope, 30 seconds
  • Bicep curls with 12-lb dumbbells (x10)
    • Jump rope, 30 seconds
  • IYTWs with 1-lb dumbbells (x5 rounds)
    • Jump rope, 30 seconds
  • Deadlifts with 20-lb dumbbells (x10)
    • Jump rope, 30 seconds
